CSI1000 Index Dividend Forecasts
The Chinese domestic derivatives markets continue to develop and hit yet another milestone on 22nd July 2022 with the launch of stock index futures and options on the CSI1000 Index. Prior to this development the China Financial Futures Exchange (CFFEX) provided index options and futures on the large and midcap sector of the market as represented by the SSE50 Index, CSI300 Index and CSI500 Index. With the introduction of derivatives on the CSI 1000 index universe, managers will now have the ability to deepen their exposure to the Chinese small cap space with adequate hedging tools available at their disposal to better manage risk. The development is also likely to be welcome news for China's burgeoning onshore hedge fund scene with quants eager to hunt for arbitrage opportunities.
In light of this development, we are expanding our market leading coverage to provide dividend forecasts and dividend index points calculation on the CSI1000 Index universe to better help our clients price derivatives, manage risk and identify arbitrage opportunities in this space.
