Uganda National Oil Company CEO Proscovia Nabbanja joins IHS
Markit Senior Advisor Daniel Berkove to discuss Uganda's journey
from its first commercial oil discoveries in 2006 to the present
status of Uganda's crude oil development. Nabbanja covers the
recent agreements establishing the East Africa Crude Oil Pipeline
company, which promises to unlock the value of its 1.4 billion
barrels of commercially recoverable crude, and also addresses
questions around finance and balancing the trade-offs between
environmental concerns and the major economic benefits the project
is expected to bring to Uganda. She also offers her view for what
the future will hold for Uganda's hydrocarbon sector in general,
and for UNOC in particular.
